1 Chronicles
Chapter 3
1 These were David’s sons born in Hebron: the first, Amnon, with Ahinoam from Jezreel; the second, Daniel, with Abigail from Carmel.
2 The third, Absalom, Maachah’s son and Talmai the king of Geshur’s grandson; the fourth, Adonijah, Haggith’s son.
3 The fifth son was Shephatiah with Abital; the sixth was Ithream with Eglah, his wife.
4 He had six children in Hebron, where he ruled for seven and a half years; then in Jerusalem, he ruled for thirty-three years.
5 In Jerusalem, he had four sons by Bathshua, Ammiel’s daughter: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon.
6 Ibhar, Elishama, and Eliphelet too.
7 Nogah, Nepheg, and Japhia,
8 Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine.
9 All these were David’s sons, not including the sons from his other women, and their sister Tamar.
10 Solomon’s son was Rehoboam, his son was Abia, his son was Asa, and his son was Jehoshaphat.
11 Joram’s son, Ahaziah’s son, Joash’s son,
12 Amaziah’s son, Azariah’s son, Jotham’s son,
13 Ahaz’s son, Hezekiah’s son, Manasseh’s son,
14 Amon was his son, and then Josiah was his son.
15 Josiah’s sons were, the oldest Johanan, the next Jehoiakim, the third Zedekiah, and the youngest Shallum.
16 Jehoiakim’s sons were Jeconiah and then Zedekiah.
17 Jeconiah’s children were Assir and his son Salathiel.
18 Malchiram, Pedaiah, Shenazar, Jecamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah were there too.
19 Pedaiah had sons: Zerubbabel and Shimei. Zerubbabel’s children were Meshullam, Hananiah, and their sister Shelomith.
20 Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah, and Jushabhesed were five men.
21 Hananiah’s sons were Pelatiah and Jesaiah. Rephaiah’s, Arnan’s, Obadiah’s, and Shechaniah’s were their families.
22 The children of Shechaniah were Shemaiah, and Shemaiah’s children were Hattush, Igeal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat—six in total.
23 Neariah had three sons: Elioenai, Hezekiah, and Azrikam.
24 Elioenai’s sons were Hodaiah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Dalaiah, and Anani, seven in total.
