Chapter 8
1 Benjamin had a first son named Bela, a second named Ashbel, and a third named Aharah.
2 Nohah was the fourth, and Rapha was the fifth.
3 Bela’s sons were Addar, Gera, and Abihud.
4 Abishua, Naaman, and Ahoah,
5 And Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.
6 Ehud’s sons were leaders of Geba’s families, and they were moved to Manahath.
7 Naaman, Ahiah, and Gera were sent away, and they had Uzza and Ahihud.
8 Shaharaim had children in Moab after he sent his family away; his wives were Hushim and Baara.
9 He had children with his wife Hodesh: Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, and Malcham.
10 Jeuz, Shachia, and Mirma were his sons, leaders of their families.
11 Hushim had two sons: Abitub and Elpaal.
12 Elpaal’s sons were Eber, Misham, and Shamed, who built the cities of Ono and Lod and their surrounding towns.
13 Beriah and Shema were also leaders of Aijalon’s founding families, and they forced out the people of Gath.
14 Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth,
15 Zebadiah, Arad, and Ader,
16 Michael, Ispah, and Joha were the sons of Beriah.
17 Zebadiah, Meshullam, Hezeki, and Heber,
18 Ishmerai, Jezliah, and Jobab were the sons of Elpaal.
19 Jakim, Zichri, and Zabdi,
20 Elienai, Zilthai, and Eliel,
21 Adaiah, Beraiah, and Shimrath were Shimhi’s sons.
22 Ishpan, Heber, and Eliel,
23 Abdon, Zichri, and Hanan,
24 Hananiah, Elam, and Antothijah,
25 Iphedeiah and Penuel were Shashak’s sons.
26 Shamsherai, Shehariah, and Athaliah.
27 Jaresiah, Eliah, and Zichri were the sons of Jeroham.
28 These were leaders of the families, important men by their ancestry. They lived in Jerusalem.
29 In Gibeon, the founder of the city lived; his wife’s name was Maachah.
30 His oldest son was Abdon, and he also had Zur, Kish, Baal, and Nadab.
31 Gedor, Ahio, and Zacher.
32 Mikloth had a son named Shimeah. They also lived near their relatives in Jerusalem.
33 Ner was the father of Kish, Kish was the father of Saul, Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
34 Jonathan’s son was Meribbaal, and Meribbaal had a son named Micah.
35 Micah’s sons were Pithon, Melech, Tarea, and Ahaz.
36 And Ahaz was the father of Jehoadah; Jehoadah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri was the father of Moza.
37 Moza had a son named Binea. Binea’s son was Rapha, Rapha’s son was Eleasah, and Eleasah’s son was Azel.
38 Azel had six sons named Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. These were all Azel’s sons.
39 Eshek’s brother had three sons: Ulam the first, Jehush the second, and Eliphelet the third.
40 Ulam’s sons were brave warriors, skilled with bows, and had lots of sons and grandsons, totaling 150. All these were from Benjamin’s family.
