Chapter 136
1 Give thanks to God, for He is good; His love lasts forever.
2 Give thanks to the God of all: for his kindness lasts forever.
3 Give thanks to the God of gods: for his kindness lasts forever.
4 To the one who alone does great miracles: because his kindness lasts forever.
5 He made the skies using wisdom: His kindness lasts forever.
6 To the one who spread the earth over the waters: because his kindness lasts forever.
7 He made the big lights: His kindness lasts forever.
8 The sun rules by day: for his kindness lasts forever.
9 The moon and stars govern the night; God’s kindness lasts forever.
10 To the one who struck down Egypt’s firstborn: because his kindness lasts forever.
11 God led Israel out from among them because his kindness lasts forever.
12 With a powerful hand and an extended arm: because his kindness lasts forever.
13 He split the Red Sea in two: His love lasts forever.
14 God led Israel through it because his kindness lasts forever.
15 God overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea because His kindness lasts forever.
16 To the one who guided his people through the desert: because his kindness lasts forever.
17 He struck down mighty kings: for his love lasts forever.
18 He killed great kings: because His kindness lasts forever:
19 Give thanks to God for defeating Sihon, king of the Amorites; His kindness lasts forever.
20 And Og, the king of Bashan, because God’s kindness lasts forever.
21 God gave their land as a heritage because his mercy lasts forever.
22 It’s a gift to Israel, his servant, because God’s kindness lasts forever.
23 God remembered us when we were helpless, because his kindness lasts forever.
24 God has saved us from our enemies because his kindness lasts forever.
25 God gives food to all creatures; His kindness lasts forever.
26 Give thanks to the God of heaven because his kindness lasts forever.
